Fee Structure

Option 1:
R50 000, 00 per year (Inclusive of VAT) (R10 000.00 deposit payable by end November and the balance within 4 months of commencement of the course) i.e. R 10 000.00 end of January, R10 000.00 end of February, R10 000.00 end of March and R10 000.00 the end of April of the specific year.

Option 2:
R55 000, 00 per year (R10 000, 00 deposit by end November and the balance paid off over 10 months @ R4 500, 00 per month.

Advanced Diploma:
Add an extra 6 months to the course + R20 000.00

* Please note school fees are exempt from Value Added Tax. City & Guild International exam fees are included but as we are budgeting 30 months ahead of time, students may be requested to pay the shortfall on the foreign exchange for this exam (no more than R500.00 excluding VAT).


Fees Include:

All ingredients, 3 sets of uniforms, a basic knife set, all short courses and basic international exam fees, Introduction to South African wine, Food and wine pairing, Health and safety and First aid is included in our cost.

Not included: Personal toolbox – a list of basics will be supplied on registration.


Other Activities

Students get the opportunity to work at various facilities during their course to gain experience in order to be well versed in the hospitality industry when entering their mentorship.


Accommodation

Limited accommodation for girls only at this stage is available on a first come first serve basis.

Hospitality Course

Do you see yourself as a hotel manager?

The Etude School of Hospitality is situated in George. As a new addition to the François Ferreira Academy, Etude School of Hospitality aims to train hospitality professionals that add value to the hospitality industry.

What type of qualification?

Three diploma programmes make up the qualification as a hotel manager.

City & Guilds Diploma in Food and Beverage Management (7066)

The certificate and diploma are run concurrently and the learner will have the option to do the Advanced Diploma as well.

City & Guilds Diploma in Reception Operations and Services (7067)

The certificate and diploma are run concurrently and the learner will have the option to do the Advanced Diploma as well.

City & Guilds Diploma in Accommodation Operations and Services (7068)

The certificate and diploma are run concurrently and the learner will have the option to do the Advanced Diploma as well.

Duration

The course is presented over 30 months (two and a half years):

  • Year 1 - 10 months at the school and 6 months in the industry.
  • Year 2 - 6 months at the school and 6 months in the industry thereafter 2 months for preparation of exams

What makes our courses special

We take a maximum of 12 students per year. Therefore you are assured of individual attention. Over and above the subjects for City & Guilds we are the only school to offer the following specialized add-on courses:

  • French - spoken and written
  • Event Management

All the subjects are facilitated by professionals in their respective fields. Guest lecturers also present various specialist lectures such as workshops on plating, styling etc.
